The holiday season is supposed to be filled with joy, peace, and meaningful moments with loved ones. Yet for many of us, it becomes a stress-filled marathon of perfecting every detail, managing every task, and doing everything ourselves. If this sounds like you, it's time to talk about delegation.
Here's the truth: other people want to help. They might not do things exactly the way you would, but they genuinely want to contribute to the holiday celebration. When you accept their offer to help, you're not just lightening your load—you're giving them something meaningful. It makes people feel good when you trust them with important tasks.
Delegation isn't about admitting defeat or lowering your standards. It's a strategic way to reduce your stress while building deeper connections with the people around you.
When you insist on handling everything, you send a message that you don't need help. Over time, people stop offering.
